Darryle J. Buchanan

Darryle J. Buchanan comes to the Knight Center of Digital Excellence with more than 20 years of experience in technical sales, including the past 10 years in the telecommunications field. He has consulted clients on converged voice, video and data networks for medium to large enterprises in the fields of health care, local government, and education. While at Lucent Technologies and Avaya, he developed proficiency working with the distinctive needs of nonprofits in the Detroit metropolitan area. As an account executive for DuPont Diagnostic Imaging, he helped design vertical sales strategies for the clinic market as well as managing dealer relations.

Darryle is very active in his Southfield, Mich., community. He serves as secretary for the Southfield Board of Education and president-elect of the Michigan Association of School Boards Black Caucus. He is an executive board member and chairman of the marketing committee for the Southfield Youth Center, and founder and coach of the Southfield Transition youth basketball program. He also serves as polemarch of the Southfield Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
